CutListEngine Makes Kerf-Aware Sheet Planning Available in a Free Browser Tool
August 16, 2026 — CutListEngine provides a free online cut list optimizer for rectangular sheet materials such as plywood, MDF, melamine, and acrylic. The tool lets users enter sheets and parts, account for saw kerf and outside margins, and compare Free Nesting with Guillotine Cutting layouts.
The optimizer runs locally in the browser, requires no account, and does not require users to upload their cutting data. Results include sheet count, yield, waste, placed and unplaced parts, plus export options for CSV, PNG, a copied summary, and Print or PDF.
Free Nesting is intended for compact rectangular placement. Guillotine Cutting produces slicing layouts in which every separation crosses the current rectangle and includes a cut sequence. CutListEngine describes the limits of each method and does not claim to generate CNC toolpaths or DXF files.
